Why does my puppy keep peeing at the same spot?

My thirteen week old puppy keeps peeing at the same place on concrete floor on the patio. I have washed/ scrubbed it with pet deodorizer, made for pet stains and it doesn’t work at all. He’s still peeing at the same spot. But he has only been doing it for two days. Also, how long can a thirteen week old husky puppy hold in his pee?

  1. Well he can probably still smell the scent of when he last peed their which has made him do it again and a thirteen week old puppy should be able to hold it for four hours (the rule of thumb is the number of months old plus 1 is the amount of hours a puppy can hold it) but you never know, he might not be able to hold it that long, depends really! hope this helps:)

  2. It is because the kind of stain remover you are using probably do not fully remove the smell. dogs will continue to pee in the same spot it smells. there are places you can buy a pee stick that has that scent. just place it in your backyard. Good luck!

  3. Awww he’s probably just marking his spot lol

  4. Because he smells his scent there, my puppy did that too it was really annoying. The only thing that worked with getting the scent out was wool light pet order with oxy clean. Probably like eight hours at the most.

  5. the average puppy can’t hold his/her pee for more then Two 3 hours.

  6. I have two cats & two dogs. Naturally there have been accidents – urine, vomit, a kidney infection. Here is my story. So through all of the pet encounters, I was trying all the different products to clean up the messes. There are several specialty products for pets. DO NOT BUY THESE. None of them worked for me. If you go the Oxy Clean route beware – I have heard horror stories about Oxy Clean destroying carpet. However in your case it is concrete it sounds like. You need Genesis 950. It’s the only thing I have found that really works. In addition to removing pet stains from concrete it will also remove grease & oil stains from concrete.

The 950 is designed to work with water to actually get in the stain. Once it does this, it fully breaks it apart and you can pick up all of the stain. If you are not breaking the bond like 950 does, you don’t get rid of the stain and the smell will return. Look at any other questions posted on here about pet stains. they all say they cleaned and scrubbed but the stain or smell is still there. It’s cause other products do not break the stain apart. Just scrub it into the concrete, let it sit for about two minutes, then rinse it with water. I also use it in the house for carpet & furniture. Twice a year, I do use about a cup in a steam cleaner I rent. The nice thing about this cleaner is it will remove the stain no matter how old it is.

Another plus to the product is it is environmentally friendly and non toxic. It will not make your pets sick. In fact 1 of my cats loves rolling around in it after I clean with it. Granted I do not encourage that, but she does not listen.

I found 950 at a garage and bought it to remove paint that was stained in my carpets. Since then I have used it for nearly every cleaning dilemma I have had. If you can not find any near you, it is worth buying on line at http://www.amerikalstore.com
