  1. Assuming your dimensions are in feet above for the 12×9

    12 x 9 (ft) = four x three yards = twelve yards

    4 thick = 4/36 yards = 0.11 yards

    12 x 0.11 = 1.33 cubic yards

of course you’ll want to have some extra for losses, so order 1.5 cubic yards..

  2. 12x9x.33(4)=35.64/27(cubic ft per yard)=1.32 yardsEDIT:you got a few right answers there if you want to say it another way then get eighty 60lb bags or sixty 80lb bags or you could check out the link below and punch in your specs and see for yourself.

  3. I have found the best way for me to figure yards of concrete is by using cubic inches. A cubic yard is 36 x 36 x36= 46,656 cubic inches. Your patio is 12′ x 9′ =108 sq’ x 144 sq per foot=15,552 sqx 4 deep = 62,208 cubic inches divided by 46,656= 1.33 cubic yards. When ordering for a large job using trucked in premixed concrete I add 15%. I have been building houses for thirty years.

  4. order one 1/2 yds. of 3500 lb. mix with air and fiber added…
