Look up a guy called Derry Brabs who’s work seems to be used on a regular basis and I think this will answer your question. Chinese proverb says Every Picture is worth a thousand words.

Hmmmmm – oh yeah, photographs of landscapes.
For me it’s photos of valleys and mountains, possibly lakes. I particularly enjoy photographing a meandering river. Another example is photos taken from the city from a hilltop.
Well your shooting landscapes. Cityscapes, scenery’s of oceans etc all falls in the same category. Thats why its called landscape
