Jim and his crew worked tirelessly to meet our expectations from start to finish all in roughly 5 weeks. His carpenter is probably one of the best, but all of his crew and Jim are great to work with! Turned out this year's winter temperature is in the 70's, I truly lucked out. His crew showed up the week after. These guys are really pros. I am very impressed by their workmanship. Midway through the project, I decided to do driveway as well to take advantage of the winter specials. Jim and his crew accommodated my expanded project scope and completed the work in just a week. I seriously contemplated doing the job myself, boy am I glad I didn't. I'd still be working on it.
We looked for a few weeks and received multiple estimates for stamped concrete, landscaping and a pergola roof. We met with Jim Grey(owner) and immediately felt comfortable working with him. He listened to what we wanted, looked at our plans and worked with us to make sure we got what we wanted in our back yard. He even pointed things that were not going to work and suggested an addition to our plan that is much more functional and we can expand on later. His estimate was not the cheapest but it certainly was not the most expensive either. I decided to use him not based on price but his expertise, ideas and online positive customer reviews.
He and his crew ended up doing the whole job for us. They did stamped concrete, a pergola roof, hot tub pad, regraded our lot(including a retaining wall), all of our landscaping and installed a sprinkler system in our backyard. All of it turned out great and besides a couple of minor issues, we couldn't be happier. The minor issues were fixed quickly and to our satisfaction. Jim was there almost every day making sure everything was the way we wanted it.
When the job started, the first thing they did was to regrade and level our lot, but kept the drainage pattern intact. This made our back yard much more useful and was something I hadn't even thought of. This aspect alone made not doing it myself well worth it.
The concrete was all stamped, colored and reached around all of the back of the house. We did cobblestone pattern on the sides of the house and a wood grain pattern for our patio on the back. Jim worked with us to help pick the colors for the concrete to match the house and to look the most like wood. The colors match the house very well and most people can't tell the wood pattern isn't wood until they step on it. The hot tub pad is fully reinforced with five caissons and is colored to match our walkways but not stamped. Our concrete foreman, Richie, and his crew worked very quickly and had the concrete done beautifully within a couple of days.
The pergola roof was done in conjunction with the patio and matches up perfectly. Jim's construction manager, Jose, worked closely with us and made sure everything was the way we wanted it and made useful suggestions along the way.
Victor, the landscape foreman, did an excellent job helping us design the back yard and figure out exactly what we wanted. His suggestions helped us avoid problems in the future, helped us achieve to look we wanted and made the yard so much more functional. His crew installed the retaining wall, sprinkler system, trees, bushes, trim and grass. He even pointed things out the contractor had done incorrectly when they landscaped our front yard Again everything was done quickly and professionally.
In closing, our project was completed two days early, even with the changes that we made to the plans along the way. Jim kept to his original estimate, even cutting costs where he could, and was very reasonable with the costs for our changes to our original plans. I would, and will, wholeheartedly recommend him and his company. read less

Luckily, I noticed it and Jim had his crew cut the main line to the sprinklers that were underneath my patio. Jim helped us remain realistic and showed us how a boarder would make for the best transition. His crew did a flawless job cutting, staining and blending the old with the new. Our patio looks so much better and is much more usable. We were so happy with their work we had them back to do our side yard as well. Since it has almost been a year since our first slab was done and it was close to time to reseal the stain, Jim offered to do that for free. A very generous offer!

Jim walked us through every step of the process, itemized every cost, and explained everything in detail so that we knew exactly what they would be doing for us. He never once tried to up-sell or hide any costs from us, and he even tried extra hard to find ways to save us even more money! Jim even pointed out flaws in our existing concrete work that was done by our builder, and gave us tips on how to prevent future damage without ever trying to convince us that we needed more work done.
We couldn't be happier with their friendliness, honesty, and of course the amazing patio we'll be enjoying for a very, very long time! I'm blown away at not only the amazing service, but the overall quality of the work, too.
Jim will be the first person I call if we ever need any more concrete or landscaping work done.

They did a fabulous job fixing the previous problems and helped me with a couple of other issues around the house as well so now I feel the house has a cohesive look that is functional and beautiful!
Jim kept me informed of everything they were doing and always returned my calls promptly when I had questions. They worked long hours, not leaving until almost 7pm some nights so the project would be finished. I'm sure they start super early so that is one long day! Jim was running late to his appointment with me for an estimate but he did call. I got three estimates total which were all similar in price. J's seemed the most professional (1 year warranty) and he suggested a few things that the others didn't. He moved in one sprinkler head about 2 feet as to accommodate a better flow for the patio and made wonderful curved forms that give a since of trendiness to the patio. His crew worked hard; everything was complete two days and eight orange sodas later. I recommended his work to a colleague, and believe I will be giving him a call sooner than later to add another concrete pad for a new hot tub and recommendation for a fence estimate! OVERALL: Jim's crew seems to be very busy and their work in high demand. I received excellent work and would recommend him to all. read less

You'd think they'd just seal the crack and go, of course not, not Jim's team....they power washed the patio, then used a blower to dry it, got on their hands & knees to towel dry the stamped crevices, THEN filled the crack and re-sealed the WHOLE patio (600 sq ft)! I was blown away by the quality of work and how fast they got the job done and they didn't cut any corners. Jim and his crew was amazing, very punctual, courteous, tidy, and respectful of our property. I've heard stories of contractors being a pain to work with, hard to coordinate with or even get in contact with. This was not the case at all with Jim, he picked up the phone every time i called, responded to all my text messages and kept me updated on the project and timeline and even sent me pictures of the project while i was at work. I could go on about all the things that made this process and product so great but in the end, we were very happy with our decision and the work that was done.
